Liverpool in talks with Mainz goalkeeper
Liverpool are in talks with Mainz over the transfer of goalkeeper Loris Karius, with a deal of around £5million expected to be firmed up over the next week.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to increase competition for Simon Mignolet, who signed a five-year contract extension at Anfield in January.
Karius, 22, had a spell at Manchester City as a teenager and has made 91 appearances for Mainz, who Klopp played for and went on to manage.
Karius is also a German youth international having represented his country at each stage from U16 to U21 level.
