Liverpool will reportedly meet Hoffenhiem's £14million release clause for striker Kevin Volland.

Volland is said to be a favourite of Jurgen Klopp's and was on his radar from his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund.

German publication Bild claim the Reds have been tracking the 23-year-old striker along with Stuttgart winger Filip Kostic.

And Hoffenheim are reportedly keen to cash in on Volland in order to reinvest in the squad as relegation from the Bundesliga looms.

The German international reportedly has a £14m release clause, and talkSPORT claim the Reds will go ahead and match it.

Volland has scored seven goals in 28 appearances for Hoffenheim this term and is still in contention for Germany's Euro 2016 squad.
