Liverpool are considering a swoop for Hoffenheim forward Kevin Volland, claim reports in Germany.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is planning a raid on the Bundesliga this summer, with Volland joining the likes of Ilkay Gundogan and Filip Kostic on the growing list of players linked with moves to Anfield.

Klopp is understood to be a big fan of Volland having watched him at close quarters during his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund.

And now, according to Bild, Liverpool are set to meet the 23-year-old's £14million release clause in the summer.

Volland, who can play as a striker as well as on the wing, has scored seven goals in 28 appearances for Hoffenheim this season.

He also has five caps for Germany and is chasing a place in Joachim Low's Euro 2016 squad this summer.
