Chelsea and Liverpool are set to go head-to-head for Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac.

The 22-year-old left-back is being monitored by the Premier League duo after an impressive campaign in the Bundesliga.

And German newspaper Bild report that both clubs could make a move for him when the transfer window reopens.

He is seen as a utility man and has also played holding midfield.

But Chelsea and Liverpool are both looking at potential left-backs having had problems there this term.

Liverpool have already signed centre-back Joel Matip from Schalke and Jurgen Klopp would like to partner him with Kolasinac next season.

Chelsea meanwhile would ideally play Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back, but only have Baba Rahman or Kenedy who can play on the left.
