Liverpool are the current front-runners to sign Fenerbache left-back Caner Erkin, according to reports.

Erkin, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, has garnered interest from the both Arsenal and Manchester United but it is Liverpool who front the queue for the 27-year-old’s signature.

Batur Altiparmak, the agent of the 27-year-old defender, has confirmed that he has received enquiries from five to six teams but failed to mention specifics around a proposed agreement.

"There have been enquiries from 5-6 teams but I have not mentioned names of any clubs and no agreements have been reached either," Altiparmak told Turkish-football.com.

"There have been enquiries but no formal offers have been made and no deal has been struck," he added.

The 27-year-old could be available for as little as £4.2million.
