Essential Travel Information
UK passport holders can visit Austria, part of the Schengen Area, for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa.
Your passport must:
Have been issued less than 10 years before your date of entry.
Have at least three months' validity remaining beyond your planned departure date from the Schengen Area.
We advise that supporters travelling into Linz refer to and meet the entry requirements on the UK Government website for the latest updates.
Please note that Liverpool FC will not be responsible for any supporter being refused entry either into the stadium, the city Linz or Austria.
About Linz
Linz is the capital of Upper Austria and sits on the River Danube.
The city is compact and easy to walk around, with a historic old town, riverside areas, cultural venues and modern media art.
Main Square and the Old Town are useful central meeting points before travelling towards the stadium.
Popular sites include the River Danube, Ars Electronica Center, Pöstlingberg and Mariendom.
Public transport is the recommended way to reach the Raiffeisen Arena. Please allow plenty of time and check live travel information before setting off.
From Linz Central Station: bus lines 46, 17 and 19 serve the “Stadion” stop.
Alternative route: line 27 serves “Ziegeleistraße” and “Botanischer Garten”.
From the city centre / Taubenmarkt: line 27 provides a direct connection to Botanischer Garten.
Walking: supporters can walk from the city centre to the stadium in approximately 30 minutes.
Walking Route from the City Centre
On the route map, red indicates the LASK supporters’ route.
On the route map, blue indicates the Liverpool FC supporters’ route.
Follow local police, steward and club guidance on the day.
Public transport in Linz is generally accessible for wheelchair users.
The rail journey from Vienna Airport to Linz is accessible with lifts and platform access routes.
There is a disabled pick-up and drop-off zone directly outside Linz railway station.
The access point for disabled supporters is Entrance 7, next to the away section entrance, and it has a lift.
There is no parking available at this location, but drop-off and pick-up can be facilitated. Please note this may mean delays when leaving after the match.
Supporters will be escorted from Entrance 7 via an internal concourse to their designated bays.
Kick-off: 18:45 CET / 17:45 BST.
Venue: Raiffeisen Arena, Linz.
Turnstiles open: 16:45 CET, two hours before kick-off.
Austria is one hour ahead of the UK.
On arrival at the stadium, supporters should approach along Scheidermayrweg, where they will be directed into a secure area before entering the stadium.
Visiting supporters enter via Entrance E6 through full-length turnstiles. Liverpool FC supporters are located across two levels: lower tier blocks G1 and G2, and upper tier blocks G11A, G11B and G12.
A soft ticket check will take place before the turnstiles.
The upper level is accessed through the lower section via two staircases.
The away section is unreserved. Tickets are valid for both the upper and lower sections.
Toilets and kiosks are on the lower visitor concourse, so supporters in the upper section will need to pass through the lower section.
All seats are locked in the upright position, so there is no available seating in general admission.
The arena is a non-smoking stadium. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.
The stadium is cashless.
There is currently no planned post-match holdback, unless the police commander decides it is necessary on the day.
Food and Drink
Alcohol will be available for purchase inside the stadium.
Alcohol may be consumed within the away section, which is entirely standing.
Facilities For Wheelchair Users
There are 10 wheelchair bays allocated for this fixture.
Six bays are located in the Family Stand next to the visitors’ section in block G2, on the left as you look towards the pitch.
Four bays are located on the other side, to the right of the away section.
Both positions offer a good view of the pitch.
Two bays in the away section were declined because rail seating and standing supporters may block the view.
Personal assistant seats are next to the relevant wheelchair bay.
Dedicated toilet facilities and kiosks are close to the wheelchair bays. Kiosks do not have dedicated lower counter areas, but LFC accessibility stewards will assist where required.
Flags are permitted and there is no pre-authorisation process.
Small portable power banks for mobile phones are permitted.
Only bags A4 size or smaller are permitted inside the stadium.
There are no bag storage facilities at the venue, so please plan ahead.

Debit and credit cards are widely accepted, although some smaller businesses and rural locations may prefer cash payments.

Local Laws and Behaviour
Austria has strict public order laws. Supporters are asked to respect local residents and avoid excessive noise, particularly in residential areas.
Alcohol consumption is generally permitted, although restrictions may apply around stadiums and transport hubs on matchdays.
Fan Information
There is no official dedicated meeting point for Liverpool FC supporters in Linz. However,OK-Platzin the city centre offers a wide range of bars and restaurants and is expected to be a popular gathering point for travelling Reds.
There is no dedicated supporter transport to the stadium.
Supporters should travel via local public transport or taxi.
The stadium is approximately a 30-minute walk from the city centre.
Public transport services are accessible, and a disabled drop-off and pick-up zone is available outside Linz railway station.

Matchday Advice
Carry photographic identification as spot checks may take place.
While there will be no formal ID checks at the turnstiles, supporters are advised to carry their passport with them at all times.
Arrive at the stadium in good time, as supporter segregation and enhanced security measures will be in place.
Follow all instructions issued by local police, stewards and club staff.
Check any club-issued supporter guidance before travelling.
Crime levels are generally low, but pickpocketing can happen in city centres, parks, public transport areas and main stations, especially after dark.
Keep belongings secure and stay alert in crowded places.
By law, you must always have easy access to your passport. A UK driving licence is not accepted as official ID in Austria.
Illegal drugs, including cannabis, carry severe penalties, including long jail sentences and heavy fines.
It is generally illegal in public to wear clothing or objects that cover your face. You could be fined up to €150.
