Essential Travel Information
UK passport holders can visit Turkey for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa for tourism or business purposes.
Your passport must:
Have an expiry date that is at least 150 days after the date you arrive in Turkey.
Have at least one blank page for entry and exit stamps.
We advise that supporters travelling into Istanbul refer to and meet the entry requirements on the UK Government website for the latest updates.
Please note that Liverpool FC will not be responsible for any supporter being refused entry either into the stadium, the city Istanbul or Turkey.
Travel insurance:
Comprehensive cover is required; EHIC and GHIC are not valid.
About Istanbul

Travel to the stadium is by mandatory supporter shuttle bus only. Supporters will not be able to access the stadium by any other method.
Fan Meeting Point
Supporters should make their way to Sultanahmet Square, which will serve as the designated fan meeting point before the match. Supporters are encouraged to remain and socialise on the European side of Istanbul throughout the day.

Mandatory Bus Travel
Supporters should arrive at the meeting point no later than 16:00.
All Buses will depart at 16:45.
The journey to the stadium is expected to take approximately one hour.
There are no toilets on buses.
Return buses will operate from the stadium back to Sultanahmet Square after the match.
Supporters should follow the guidance of local police, stewards and our staff throughout the journey. Please allow plenty of time and be prepared for security checks on arrival at the stadium.
All supporters must travel to the stadium from the designated fan meeting point.
As seating for this fixture is unreserved, Ambulant Supporters who require accessible seating should take the earliest possible bus to maximise their opportunity of securing a suitable seat in the lower tier. The upper tier is not suitable for supporters with accessible requirements.
Accessible transport will be provided, with suitable vehicles available to ensure a comfortable journey to and from the stadium.
On arrival, supporters will access the stadium via a ramp leading to the accessible entrance at Gate 37, located close to the visitors' entrance. Please note that there is a relatively steep ramp leading up to the entrance.
Trained home stewards will work alongside our accessibility stewards to assist supporters with accessibility requirements from the transport drop-off point through Gate 37 and onwards to their seating areas.
Following the match, supporters with accessibility requirements will be asked to remain in their seats for a short period while home supporters leave the stadium. This is a standard accessibility measure and is separate from any holdback arrangements that may apply to visiting supporters.
Supporters will enter through Gate 35 and 36, while supporters with accessible requirements will enter through Gate 37.
Kick-off: 18:45 CET / 17:45 BST.
Venue: Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, Istanbul.
Turnstiles open: 16:45 CET, two hours before kick-off.
Istanbul is three hours ahead of the UK.
On arrival at the stadium, supporters will be directed through a ticket check, body search and ticket scan before entering the away section. Our ticketing staff and stewards will be available to assist supporters.
The away section is split across two levels, with seating available in both the lower and upper tiers. Seating is unreserved, and stewards will be on hand to help direct supporters and ensure the area remains safe and comfortable throughout the event.
As seating for this fixture is unreserved, Ambulant Supporters who require accessible seating should take the earliest possible bus to maximise their opportunity of securing a suitable seat in the lower tier. The upper tier is accessed via stairs only. There is no lift access available.
The away section is separated from home supporters by dedicated segregation barriers.
Food, Drink and Facilities.
Toilets are located on the lower concourse.
A kiosk will be available on the lower concourse, alcohol will not be available for purchase inside the stadium.
Card payments are preferred. Any cash payments will not receive change and the residual will be given to charity.
Facilities For Wheelchair Users
We have been allocated 12 wheelchair bays for this fixture, located directly in front of the visiting supporters' section. Tickets for wheelchair users and their personal assistants are provided free of charge.
There are six wheelchair bays in the front row and six in the back row. Please note that both rows are on the same level, which may result in some sightline restrictions during certain periods of the match.
Seats for personal assistants are located just outside the protected wheelchair-user area, in the front row of the main seating section.
Dedicated accessible toilet facilities are available close to the wheelchair bays.
There are no refreshment kiosks located in the immediate vicinity of the wheelchair area. However, the home club provides dedicated staff support, and complimentary food and beverages are available for disabled supporters. Our accessibility stewards will also be on hand to assist with any requirements throughout the matchday.
Prohibited Items
For safety and security reasons, supporters must not bring any weapons, sharp objects, firearms, flares, fireworks, smoke bombs, pyrotechnics, explosives, flammable materials, gas sprays, laser pointers, megaphones or other noise-making devices into the stadium.
Supporters are strongly advised not to bring bags or unnecessary personal belongings to the stadium, as security measures will be in place on entry and items may be confiscated.
Power banks and any items deemed to be 'throwable' by stadium security or local authorities may be prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, vapes, cosmetics and other loose items. Supporters are encouraged to travel light and only bring essential items. It is also recommended that supporters do not bring souvenirs or merchandise to the stadium, including Fenerbahçe-branded items purchased during their visit, as these may be confiscated at security checks.
Flags, Banners and Medical Equipment
Supporters wishing to bring flags or banners into the stadium must submit photographs, dimensions and copies of relevant fire safety certificates to [email protected] for approval by the Turkish Police. Applications must be received no later than 28 October. All flags and banners must be pre-approved before travel.
Political banners/flags or unauthorised banners and flags are not permitted.
Supporters who need to bring medical equipment to the stadium should also contact the SLO mailbox before 28 October to ensure the necessary approvals are in place. All supporters should be prepared for a ticket check, body search and ticket scan on arrival at the stadium.
Currency
Turkey uses the Turkish Lira (TRY).
Debit and credit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants and larger businesses, although some smaller establishments may prefer cash payments.
Mobile Phones and Connectivity
Since Brexit, mobile roaming charges may apply depending on your provider. Please check with your network before travelling.

Supporters are encouraged to familiarise themselves with local laws and customs before travelling. Supporters should carry their passport with them at all times and be prepared to present identification if requested by local authorities. Please respect local residents, businesses and places of worship during your visit.
Fan Information
Liverpool supporters are encouraged to remain and socialise on the European side of Istanbul throughout the day. The designated supporter meeting point is Sultanahmet Square. Travel to the stadium is by mandatory shuttle bus only. Supporters will not be able to access the stadium by any other method. Supporters should arrive at the meeting point five hours before kick-off, with buses departing four hours before kick-off. The journey to the stadium is expected to take approximately one hour, depending on traffic conditions. Accessible transport arrangements for disabled supporters will be communicated separately.

Keep your belongings secure and stay alert in busy tourist areas, on public transport and in transport hubs.
Supporters are encouraged to remain and socialise on the European side of Istanbul throughout the day.
Follow all instructions from local police, stewards and matchday staff.

Identification
You must carry photographic identification at all times.
Your passport is the best form of ID to carry.
Always cooperate with local authorities if asked to present identification.
Local Laws and Customs
Respect local laws, customs and religious sites, particularly in areas such as Sultanahmet.
Dress modestly when visiting mosques and other places of worship.
Illegal drugs, including cannabis, carry severe penalties, including imprisonment and substantial fines.
Money and Scams
Only exchange money through reputable banks or exchange offices.
Be cautious of strangers offering money exchange, food, drinks or invitations to bars and clubs.
Exercise caution when accepting US $50 or $100 banknotes, as counterfeit notes have been reported.
Food and Drink Safety
Buy your own drinks and keep them with you at all times.
Only purchase alcohol from licensed and reputable venues, as counterfeit alcohol can cause serious illness.
Mobile Connectivity
Some e-sim services are restricted in Turkey.
Check with your mobile provider before travelling to ensure your service will work.
Accommodation
Some hotels may refuse check-in for guests aged 17 and under who are not travelling with a parent or guardian.
Written parental consent may be required and, in some cases, may need to be notarised.
Check directly with your accommodation provider before travelling.
Smoking Restrictions
Smoking is prohibited on public transport and in indoor public spaces.
Smoking may also be restricted in some outdoor areas used for sporting, cultural and entertainment events.
Follow local signage and guidance regarding designated smoking areas.
Personal Injury Claims
Only make a personal injury claim if you have genuinely suffered an injury or illness.
Submitting a false or fraudulent claim could result in legal action in the UK or Turkey.
