Shaun Cooper joined Liverpool as first-team coach in the summer of 2026.

Cooper followed Andoni Iraola to Anfield having previously been part of the Basque's backroom staff at AFC Bournemouth.

The bulk of Cooper's playing career was also spent at Bournemouth, where he made 240 appearances across seven years.

The Englishman had risen through Portsmouth's youth system to play in 32 matches for their senior team.

Cooper also represented Leyton Orient, Kidderminster Harriers, Crawley Town, Sutton United, Eastbourne Borough and Poole Town before retiring in 2017.

His coaching chapter began with roles in Bournemouth's academy, and he was then promoted to their senior set-up by Gary O'Neil during the 2022-23 season.
