Matt Brown

Matt Brown has been the lead sports scientist at Liverpool FC since 2024.

He forms part of the medical and performance department for the men's team at the AXA Training Centre, reporting to head of physical performance Conall Murtagh.

Brown had previously served as a consultant sports scientist for youth teams at the Scottish FA while also working in the private sector.

Prior to that, he spent four years with Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain – from 2018 to 2022 – as a sports scientist.

He earned bachelor's and master's honours in physiological sciences and sport and exercise science respectively when studying in the north east of England.
