Zara Shaw captained England as their U20 Women’s World Cup campaign began with a 1-1 draw against Canada.
The Liverpool FC Women player featured for the whole of the Group B match in Bielsko-Biala, Poland on Saturday.
Annabelle Chukwu put Canada ahead early in the second half but England responded near the end through Rachel Maltby’s penalty.
Shaw and England are next in action at the tournament on Tuesday when they face Tanzania.
