NewsWorld Cup: Alisson Becker's Brazil beaten by Norway in last 16
Alisson Becker’s participation at the World Cup came to an end as Brazil were beaten 2-1 by Norway on Sunday.
The Liverpool goalkeeper played the whole of the last-16 clash in New Jersey.
Norway saw a goal disallowed for offside during the first half, prior to Bruno Guimaraes’ penalty attempt for Brazil being saved.
A 79th-minute header by Erling Haaland broke the deadlock and the striker doubled his and Norway’s tally with 90 on the clock.
Neymar then converted Brazil’s second spot-kick of the encounter 10 minutes into added time at the end.
