Alisson Becker helped Brazil move into the Round of 16 at the World Cup with a late 2-1 victory over Japan on Monday.

The Liverpool goalkeeper completed the full game in Houston as the Selecao advanced from the first phase of the knockout stage thanks to a comeback win.

Kaishu Sano opened the scoring for Japan just ahead of the half-hour mark with a driven effort, and that lead held until after the interval.

Casemiro's header restored parity in the contest before the hour, then a strike off the inside of the post from substitute Gabriel Martinelli in the sixth minute of added time settled the affair for Brazil.

They will now face either Norway or Ivory Coast on Sunday (July 5) for a place in the quarter-finals.
