Adrian believes Luis Diaz has the potential to get even better with a Liverpool pre-season under his belt.

The January arrival from FC Porto is currently in Singapore enjoying his first summer programme under Jürgen Klopp's management.

Diaz hit the ground running immediately when introduced to the side partway through 2021-22, with the Colombian's adaptation aided by the support of Adrian and others.

But when asked about the possibility of the No.23 improving with more time as a Red, Adrian told Liverpoolfc.com: "Absolutely! His English is improving as well.

"I think he adapted really well to the team the moment he stepped on Anfield. He did really well.

"But it's the first pre-season and the Latin group is growing with Darwin [Nunez] as well. We will try to help them as much as possible with the adaptation. Darwin will also have to learn some easy and quick English on the pitch but football is a universal language."

The goalkeeper continued: "Luis in his first season with us was incredible, and we hope he keeps going at that and Darwin adapts so quick as well.

"He [Diaz] never stops, he's very lively, he's very creative – dribbling, shooting. It's a top player and he showed it already in the first season with us.

"This season it's going to be important because he put the level quite high, I told him before. Now he has to keep that level or even improve it."
