Liverpool will be without six senior players against West Ham United on Sunday, but Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara are set to be available.
A serious hamstring injury sustained during the midweek win over Atletico Madrid means Roberto Firmino joins Curtis Jones (eye), Joe Gomez (calf), Naby Keita and James Milner (both hamstring) on the sidelines, as well as long-term absentee Harvey Elliott (ankle).
“Bobby is not good news with a serious hamstring injury, really unfortunate. We don’t know exactly how long he will be out but it will be not now after the international break directly. We have to work on that,” Jürgen Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com on Friday.
“Curtis is a completely different story, he was very unlucky in training – he got a finger that scratched the eye. I had a lot of injuries to players in my career, that was not involved. He is on the way back but we have to see how long exactly.
“He will be back after the international break, for sure, but in the international break we have to see when he can start doing proper stuff again.
“And Joey, hopefully after the international break as well.”
On Keita and Milner, the boss stated: “We will see. For them, I have hope for after the international break but I don’t know exactly.
“We have to wait. That’s two weeks and a few days from now on, so that’s what I would really wish for but I cannot promise that. But that’s what we are working on.”
Fabinho and Thiago returned to action versus Atletico, though, and are expected to be in contention for the contest at London Stadium.
“Very important, you see that. Fab was clear – he was not that long out – that he can maybe go, how we decided then 60 minutes,” Klopp said.
“And swapping that with Thiago was probably exactly the right thing to do, now they should be both a big step ahead, so all good.”
Captain Jordan Henderson will become only the fourth player in the Premier League era to make 300 league appearances for Liverpool should he be involved in the capital.

David Moyes told the media: “Andriy Yarmolenko had a little bit of an injury before we went away to Genk and Nikola Vlasic as well, so we’ll see how they are.
“We’re just back, we’re picking ourselves back up, we know we’ve got a quick turnaround for the Liverpool game, so hopefully we’ll all be OK.
“We are being tested at the moment because we’re having regular games. We lost a couple of players in midweek to small niggles, nothing serious, but that limited us a little bit, but that can easily happen.
“At the moment, we’ve got a pretty strong squad and anyone who has come in has done a great job, I’ve got to say. You can see the amount of games we’re playing at the moment, but everyone is doing a good job and playing well.”
