Liverpool FC has more than 300 Official LFC Supporters Clubs (OLSCs) across 100 countries worldwide.

The Reds' fan base is famous for its passion and loyalty, cheering on both the men's and women's squads whether on Merseyside or watching from afar.

Our We Love You Liverpool feature aims to bring supporters closer together to learn more about each other wherever they are based around the globe.

Here, we meet OLSC Nashville...

Tell us about the OLSC…

While the club originally started to take shape as early as 2011 (we originally started at a shared bar with Manchester United supporters!), we became an official supporters club in 2018. In addition to the many folks who casually participate with OLSC Nashville – we have no mandate for payment to participate at club events – we regularly average about 120-130 paid members each year.

How special is it to have the supporters club where you are?

We are incredibly lucky to have a strong set-up in Nashville. Our city has become a huge tourist destination over the past several years, and we are positioned to serve as a home-away-from-home for Reds from all over the world. It's not uncommon to have folks show up to matches with luggage just so they can catch the match on the way to the airport.

It must give you a sense of community and connection to Liverpool and the club itself?

Yes, it does. We have started keeping a guestbook for anyone who visits us, and this has served as a perfect record of how Liverpool FC connects so many people from so many areas all over the world. We get to play hosts for just a short time, but our LFC family is massive.

What is so special about supporting Liverpool for your members?

Our members came to support LFC for a wide range of reasons: some are originally from Liverpool, some developed a love for LFC while playing in their youth, some were drawn by the history and social ideals within the club, and some came on a whim just because they knew another member. There are so many paths that lead to becoming an LFC fan, and we strive to cater to all of them.

Do you hold meet-ups for games, or any special events throughout the year?

We are fortunate enough to get to meet for every LFC match throughout the season! This year, we will also be hosting an LFC pre-season party in Nashville, and we hope to see you all there so we can show off our home.

Has the OLSC ever visited Anfield? If so, what was the experience like?

We regularly have small groups visit Anfield each season. Because of the distance of travel from the US to Liverpool, we generally try to work with members who are planning a trip well in advance, and we have been very lucky to have members at big Anfield moments over the past few seasons.

One of our leadership group was our first to take advantage of ticketing through the club, and we have wonderful photos that he shared of having the giant Kop banner passed overhead – tears in eyes!

What is your favourite memory together as an OLSC?

Our club has been blessed with no shortage of special moments since we formed: selling out the entire venue for Champions League finals, hosting parties during Premier League Mornings in Nashville, standing-room-only madness for our FA and League Cup finals, regularly losing voices from too much singing.

My personal favourite memory from OLSC Nashville is from before I joined the leadership group, when a small group of us met on a Tuesday afternoon to watch the match against Barcelona in 2019.

After the amazing result, we then moved to another bar in Nashville, where, despite being the only patrons, we were eventually asked to leave because we were singing too much (I think the bar manager there supported Chelsea). What started as a bleak Tuesday quickly turned into a proper pub crawl as other members met us after work to celebrate the impossible. Dreams and songs to sing...

Lastly, if anyone else is interested in joining your OLSC, how would they go about doing so?

I encourage anyone interested in joining us to visit us in person at our home bar, Party Fowl Donelson. Party Fowl is a Liverpool-only bar, so we have permanent memorabilia installations, scarves from all over the world and a six-times European Cup mural. You can also find us online and all social media spots.
