The Reds’ fan base is famous for its passion and loyalty, cheering on both the men’s and women’s squads whether on Merseyside or watching from afar.
Our We Love You Liverpool feature aims to bring supporters closer together to learn more about each other wherever they are based around the globe.

Tell us about the OLSC…
OLSC Malaysia was formed by passionate Liverpool supporters in Malaysia who wanted to create a united community for Reds across the country. It started from a group of LFC fans in Johor Bahru and we combined with a group of fans from Kuala Lumpur, Sungai Petani and Kuantan to set up OLSC Malaysia in 2012. We now have more than 1,200 active members.
How special is it to have the supporters club where you are?
Supporting Liverpool FC in Malaysia is a unique experience. Due to the time difference here, many of our games are in the middle of the night, but having a supporters club means you aren't alone shouting at your TV; you are part of a massive family that sacrifices sleep together. In Malaysia, football is a universal language, and our OLSC bridges all cultural and social divides.
It must give you a sense of community and connection to Liverpool and the club itself?
OLSC Malaysia is more than just watching football matches together, it is a family. The club creates lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a deep emotional connection to Liverpool FC. Whether celebrating victories or enduring difficult moments, our members always stand together with the same spirit: You’ll Never Walk Alone.
What is so special about supporting Liverpool for your members?
Being more than 10,000 kilometres away from Merseyside, the OLSC acts as our little bit of Anfield. It bridges that massive geographical gap. Our members admire the never-give-up mentality, the atmosphere at Anfield, and the unity shared by Liverpool supporters around the world. Supporting Liverpool means becoming part of something bigger than football. When we wear the crest and gather under the OLSC banner, we don't feel like fans from a distance, we feel like an extension of the city of Liverpool itself.
Do you hold meet-ups for games, or any special events throughout the year
Yes, we regularly organise live match screenings, football gatherings, charity initiatives, and special events throughout the season. Big matches often bring together large groups of supporters at our official viewing venues across Malaysia, creating an atmosphere similar to matchdays at Anfield.
Has the OLSC ever visited Anfield?
Visiting Anfield is a pilgrimage for us. Many of our members save for years to make the trip. Several of our committee members and groups have visited, and the experience is always described as spiritual. Touching the "This Is Anfield" sign for the first time is a moment that often brings our members to tears. For those who haven't gone yet, it remains at the very top of their bucket list. We are always helping our members to fulfil their dreams to watch an LFC match at Anfield.
What is your favourite memory together as an OLSC?
The 2019 Champions League final in Madrid and both the 2011 and 2015 Liverpool tours to Asia stand out. Seeing the first team play live on Malaysian soil at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium - hearing 80,000 Malaysians sing "You’ll Never Walk Alone" in person is a memory that will live forever in our hearts. One of our favourite memories was celebrating Liverpool’s Premier League title win together after waiting 30 years. The emotions shared among supporters during that period were unforgettable.
Lastly, if anyone else is interested in joining your OLSC, how would they go about doing so?
New members can join by visiting our official website or attending one of our match screenings. We have a formal registration process that offers an official membership pack and exclusive access to club events. We always update our membership opening through all our social media platforms. We welcome all Liverpool supporters in Malaysia who want to be part of our community and experience the club together.
