InternationalsTakumi Minamino scores in Japan's World Cup qualifying win
Takumi Minamino was on the scoresheet for Japan on Tuesday to help them secure a vital 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia in a World Cup qualifier.
Liverpool's No.18 opened the scoring after 32 minutes in the top-of-the-table clash in Group B of the Asian section of qualifying.
Junya Ito doubled the hosts' advantage early in the second half, with Minamino then withdrawn in the 77th minute as his side went on to clinch the three points.
The result means Japan can book their spot at Qatar 2022 with a win against Australia in March.
