You might have had a sense of déjà vu when Virgil van Dijk headed in Liverpool’s winner at Everton on Sunday.
The captain rose to meet a Dominik Szoboszlai corner kick 10 minutes into stoppage time and snatch a 2-1 victory for the Reds in the Premier League clash at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It was closely reminiscent of Van Dijk’s first goal for the club, which came on his debut appearance back in January 2018 and also at the expense of the Blues.
That night, it was an FA Cup tie at Anfield, the No.4 was first to reach a corner swung in from the left and he guided a decisive header into the net.
