Beata Olsson made her senior debut for Sweden and Lily Woodham claimed an assist for Wales as seven Liverpool players were involved in Saturday’s Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Olsson was introduced from the bench five minutes from the end of her country’s 1-0 win over Serbia in Solna, where Reds teammate Jennifer Falk kept a clean sheet.

Gemma Evans and Woodham each featured throughout Wales’ 1-0 victory at Albania, with the latter claiming the assist for the goal.

Denise O’Sullivan played the whole game for the Republic of Ireland as they beat Poland 1-0 in Dublin. Leanne Kiernan was an unused substitute.

Aurélie Csillag clocked up 73 minutes for Switzerland as they drew 1-1 on the road against Turkiye.

And Jenna Clark represented Scotland, playing all of a goalless draw at Belgium. Kirsty Maclean remained on the bench.

Overnight on Friday, meanwhile, Risa Shimizu started and Fuka Nagano was a second-half substitute in Japan’s 3-0 friendly defeat by the USA in Colorado.
