Mohamed Salah is one goal away from becoming Liverpool's outright second-highest goalscorer in the Premier League.

The Egyptian's header against Manchester United on Monday night was his 120th goal for the Reds in the competition and saw him move level with Steven Gerrard on the list.

Robbie Fowler tops the chart with 128 strikes from his 266 Premier League outings, with Salah in line for his 184th top-flight appearance for the club against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

At Anfield, the teams have met on eight occasions in all competitions, with the hosts winning seven and drawing the other.

Liverpool have scored in all but one of the 17 previous encounters with Bournemouth – a goalless FA Cup draw in January 1968 being the only occasion they have drawn a blank.

Nathaniel Phillips spent the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth, making 17 Championship appearances to help them gain promotion.

Dominic Solanke joined the Cherries from Liverpool in January 2019. He scored 30 goals last season, with 29 coming in the league.
