NewsRun to Anfield event celebrates LFC Foundation's health initiatives
Anfield saw over 1,200 runners come together on Saturday to raise much-needed funds for the LFC Foundation – the official charity of Liverpool FC.
This season’s 'Run to Anfield' event featured a 5km run around Stanley Park, as well as over 150 runners joining in on a 1km run, which was new for 2025.
Joining over a thousand runners were LFC Foundation's community ambassador Chris Kirkland and LFC ambassador Natasha Dowie.
The funds raised will help LFC Foundation keep their communities healthy, which is one of three key aims. The Foundation do this through a variety of physical and mental health programmes, helping support all ages within the LFC family.
Matt Parish, chief executive of the LFC Foundation, said: "We’re thrilled to have welcomed over 1,200 runners to take part in our second Run to Anfield event.
"It was fantastic to see the community come together to take part in an activity that supports one of our main focusses in keeping our communities healthy.
"Thank you to everyone who took part and helped to fundraise for us, your support truly makes a huge difference in supporting those who need it most."
The LFC Foundation are incredibly proud of all our Run To Anfield runners and grateful for their support and funds raised.
