NewsRisa Shimizu assists Japan to Women's Asian Cup semi-finals
Risa Shimizu claimed two assists to help Japan reach the Women’s Asian Cup semi-finals on Sunday.
The on-loan Liverpool FC Women defender played the whole of her country’s 7-0 victory over the Philippines in Sydney.
And Shimizu set up the final two goals in the game, for which Reds teammate Fuka Nagano was an unused substitute.
Japan will now face South Korea in the last four on Wednesday (March 18).
