Cody Gakpo was voted Liverpool’s Carlsberg Player of the Match against Newcastle United on Sunday.
The forward provided the Reds’ first equaliser in an eventual 2-2 draw in the Premier League with a pinpoint low drive from outside the area.
In our poll of supporters, Gakpo was chosen as the team’s top performer on the afternoon at St. James’ Park.
He finished ahead of substitute Victor Munoz and fellow goalscorer Dominik Szoboszlai, who converted a 99th-minute equaliser from the spot.
