Salah is therefore in a strong position to win a third Golden Boot in five campaigns at Anfield.

In terms of assists and the race to be named Premier League Playmaker of the Season, Liverpool hold the top three spots as things stand.

Trent Alexander-Arnold leads the way on 11, while Andy Robertson and Salah are hot on the right-back's heels having each set up 10 goals.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has nine assists and is closely followed by West Ham United's Jarrod Bowen on eight.

At the opposite end of the pitch, Alisson Becker and Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson are tied in the contest for this season's Golden Glove award.

The Brazil teammates have totalled 16 clean sheets apiece so far and are therefore poised to continue their dominance of the prize. Alisson won it in 2018-19, with Ederson claiming top spot in the last two campaigns.

Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale is in third place on 12 shutouts, while Tottenham's Hugo Lloris, Wolverhampton Wanderers' Jose Sa and Chelsea's Edouard Mendy have all recorded 11 clean sheets.
