CommunityRadio City Breakfast comes to Anfield
This Friday, Radio City Breakfast will broadcast its popular morning show live from Anfield as part of the club’s support for this year’s Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas toy appeal.
Hosts Leanne Campbell and Scott Hughes will swap their usual studio in the Radio City Tower for Anfield’s official club retail store to present their popular show – Radio City Breakfast with Leanne & Scott.
Listeners will have the opportunity to pop by and donate a toy or two to Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas toy appeal.
To ensure that no child across the city region wakes up on Christmas morning without a gift, LFC is once again lending its support to the toy appeal by donating £12,000 worth of gifts as part of its LFC Operation Christmas Magic campaign.
“Every child should feel the excitement of waking up to presents on Christmas morning. However, we know for some families after a tough year, they are struggling to even get by day to day,” said Campbell. “That’s why we want to help Santa out by making sure that even more young people in our area can be given some Christmas cheer this year.
“After not being able to get out and about with our campaign last year, I am so excited to be live from Anfield with LFC, meeting people from our local community, who are always so amazingly generous when it comes to Mission Christmas.”
Forbes Duff, senior manager, Red Neighbours, added: “Our LFC Operation Christmas Magic campaign is now in full swing, and we are once again delighted to be supporting Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas as part of it.
“This year we are delivering our biggest festive package of support to date to help even more local people and families this Christmas.”
Fans can show their support to the Mission Christmas toy appeal by:
Donating new and unwrapped gifts and dropping them off at collection points located at any official Liverpool FC store in Liverpool, Chester or Belfast
Texting to donate: simply text the word CITY to 70910 to donate £10 and CITY to 70920 to donate £20
