Three Liverpool teammates faced off in Tokyo as Japan hosted Brazil in a friendly on Monday.
Takumi Minamino started and featured for 73 minutes for Japan, who were beaten 1-0 by the visitors, for whom Alisson Becker played the whole game and Fabinho was a late introduction from the bench.
Neymar’s second-half penalty separated the sides.
Elsewhere, Ibrahima Konate was an unused substitute in France’s 1-1 draw at Croatia in the UEFA Nations League.
