Liverpool target Milos Kerkez has reportedly inched closer to a move to Anfield after departing Hungary's ongoing international camp.

The 21-year-old is said to be in advanced talks over a move to Merseyside with the Reds and AFC Bournemouth in discussions over a permanent transfer.

Hungary have now relieved him of his duties for 'private' reasons ahead of their fixture against Azerbaijan on Tuesday night. He was also left out of Friday night's friendly meeting with Sweden in Budapest.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is said to have made the left-back a priority target this summer in his bid to strengthen his backline ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
