Luke Chambers' goal and assist helped England U19s get off to a winning start in their European Championship qualifying campaign.

The Liverpool full-back opened the scoring in the 61st minute of a 2-0 victory over Montenegro on Wednesday evening before he then set up Sonny Perkins.

Fellow Red Oakley Cannonier came off the bench in minute 83 of the contest, with Lee Jonas and Isaac Mabaya unused substitutes. 

In another qualifier, Melkamu Frauendorf played the second half of Germany’s 5-0 win over Armenia.

Meanwhile, Harvey Davies kept a clean sheet for England U20s when they beat Chile 3-0 in a game that also saw James Balagizi feature for the Young Lions.
