Twelve Liverpool players represented their loan clubs over the weekend.
Rhys Williams and Tyler Morton were in Championship action for Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers respectively, with Williams playing the first half of the Seasiders’ 3-3 draw with Bristol City and Morton completing the 90 minutes as Rovers lost 1-0 to Stoke City.
Leighton Clarkson’s impressive start to his spell with Aberdeen continued, the midfielder starting their 5-0 Scottish Premiership thrashing of Livingston, while in the Austrian Bundesliga Billy Koumetio’s Austria Vienna drew 3-3 with Austria Klagenfurt.
In League One, Conor Bradley played the full match as Bolton Wanderers were beaten 2-0 at Plymouth Argyle while three young Reds had mixed fortunes in League Two.
Adam Lewis helped Newport County to a 4-0 victory at Harrogate Town, James Balagizi assisted Crawley Town’s goal in their 1-1 draw with Rochdale and Vitezslav Jaros featured as Stockport County drew 1-1 with Swindon Town.
Jaros’ fellow goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga, meanwhile, kept a clean sheet as Macclesfield FC made it three wins from three outings in the Northern Premier League Division One West by overcoming City of Liverpool 1-0.
Liverpool FC Women’s loan contingent enjoyed an excellent weekend.
Ashley Hodson scored her first goal for Birmingham City Women as they beat Sunderland Ladies 4-0 away, Lucy Parry played 70 minutes of Hibernian Women’s 3-1 victory at Dundee United Women and goalkeeper Charlotte Clarke featured in West Bromwich Albion Women’s 4-1 away win against Loughborough Lightning.
