NewsLiverpool's Subway Players Cup league-phase opponents revealed
Liverpool FC Women’s opponents in the league phase of the new Subway Players Cup have been confirmed.
A restructured format for the tournament will see the Reds play six games during the first stage, three at home and three away.
All 23 participating teams will be ranked in an overall league table and the top eight finishers advance to the knockout rounds.
In the league phase, Liverpool are set to face Sunderland, Birmingham City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Burnley.

- September 30 (7pm) – Birmingham City v Liverpool
- October 21 (7pm) – Liverpool v Manchester United
- November 11 (7pm) – Liverpool v Aston Villa
- November 18 (7pm) – Nottingham Forest v Liverpool
- December 16 (7pm) – Burnley v Liverpool
