Liverpool are in talks to sign Ajax winger Antony ahead of Manchester United, according to reports in Brazil.

Erik ten Hag has urged United’s hierarchy to make a move for the Brazilian midfielder this summer but so far the club have been unable to reach an agreement with Ajax.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have already signed Darwin Nunez in a £85m deal from Benfica this summer but are still looking to strengthen following the departure of Sadio Mane, who moved to Bayern Munich.
