Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye have reportedly been left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad once again as Liverpool continue to push for a high-profile double transfer.

The Reds have been attempting to sign both PSG wingers over recent weeks, seeing France star Barcola as their heir apparent to club icon Mohamed Salah, who left Anfield earlier this summer and subsequently joined Turkish side Trabzonspor.

However, so far Liverpool have been unable to reach an agreement over either Barcola or Mbaye, with the two clubs seemingly remaining far apart in their respective valuations of the duo.

PSG boss Luis Enrique decided to omit the pair from his squad for last weekend’s shock 1-0 defeat by Lens in the French Super Cup amid that ongoing transfer speculation, an approach he was expected to maintain during the remainder of the window.

That is indeed the case according to RMC Sport, who reported that neither Barcola nor Mbaye would be involved on Sunday evening as PSG begin their latest Ligue 1 title defence away at Rennes, despite training as normal on Saturday morning.

They added that both Barcola and Mbaye are expected to leave the Parc des Princes before the transfer deadline.
