Liverpool FC Women players and staff hold minute's silence in memory of Matt Beard
The players and staff of Liverpool FC Women today held a minute's silence before training in memory of Matt Beard.
Former LFC Women manager Beard passed away suddenly at the weekend.
Beard had two successful spells in charge of the club, from 2012 to 2015 and then 2021 to 2025, winning back-to-back Women's Super League titles in the former and the Women's Championship during the latter.
Liverpool's match against Aston Villa was postponed on Sunday and the squad returned to the AXA Melwood Training Centre on Monday.
Before their training session, players and staff paused to remember Beard.
