Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from KRC Genk.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Reds at the AXA Training Centre.

He will now return to Genk and remain with the Belgian top-flight side for the duration of the 2026-27 season.

After 32 appearances for Genk’s reserve team, Brughmans stepped up to their senior XI to debut in April 2026.

The stopper retained his position for the rest of the campaign, making 10 further appearances in the league.

Brughmans has continued to hold the gloves for Genk at the start of the new season, too, starting all four matches so far.

Having captained Belgium at both the U17 European Championship and U17 World Cup in 2025, he is now skipper of his nation’s U19s squad.
