Liverpool FC Women's first-team operations manager Heather Carroll has been recognised with the Club Hero accolade at the Barclays Women's Super League awards.

It celebrates her outstanding contribution behind the scenes across a decade of service to the club.

Held in London, the WSL awards highlighted excellence across the women's game, with honours presented across 17 categories.

LFC Women captain Grace Fisk presented the award to Heather, alongside teammates Marie Höbinger and Rachael Laws.

Fisk said: "We could not function without Heather because of the person she is and the meaningful impact she has on us.

"She is the first person you go to and she will never let you down. Her dedication to us and this club goes above and beyond the expectations of her role, and she truly exemplifies what it means to be a club hero."

Widely respected throughout the club, Heather plays a vital role across matchday operations, player support and team logistics.

Jenny Beacham, LFC chief financial officer and board member of Liverpool FC Women, added: "Heather's recognition as Club Hero is incredibly well deserved.

"She embodies all the values of Liverpool Football Club every single day and we are extremely proud to see her recognised at this level."

The event also paid tribute to former manager Matt Beard, who sadly passed away last September. Beard was officially inducted into the Barclays Women's Super League Hall of Fame.
