Liverpool's assistant Academy director Nick Marshall has been recognised for exceptional contribution to youth development.

Marshall received the Eamonn Dolan Award at the Premier League Youth Conference on Tuesday night.

The accolade recognises individuals who are role models and innovative in their work within an academy environment.

Marshall has been part of the Reds' set-up in Kirkby since 2014, first taking up the position of head of Academy football operations, and is currently responsible for the implementation of the Elite Player Performance Plan.

The UEFA Pro-licensed coach has previously worked at Barnsley, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and the Football Association.
