Kostas Tsimikas praised Liverpool's battling victory over West Ham United and believes the Reds are in good shape moving forward.

Jürgen Klopp's charges earned a hard-fought 1-0 win against the Hammers in Premier League action on Wednesday at Anfield, courtesy of Darwin Nunez's first-half header and Alisson Becker's impressive penalty save.
Tsimikas – who recorded his fifth assist of the campaign in the contest – gave his post-match thoughts exclusively to Liverpoolfc.com.

On a hard-fought three points...
Yeah, it was a very, very tough game with a very tough opponent. They fight a lot for the result, but before the game we say we have to go to win the game. As we say, if we want to change something this year we have to win football games and we did exactly that.
On his assist for Nunez's goal...
Yes, it's a very good moment for me. Especially because it was a cross for Darwin because I wanted to assist him. I'm very, very happy for him because I know he wanted to score also. Obviously he would [want] to score more goals but hopefully he keeps his energy and his goal for the next games. I'm very, very happy for that. It's like every day I work with it to make better crosses and to have better performances. So, I'm very happy for that.
On whether Nunez can carry his form forward...
He's always there. He can score with the left, with the right [and] with the head - he's a goal machine. He needs confidence, [which] is coming [and] I hope for him all the best [to] score more and more goals to help the team to give us more wins because for us he is a very, very important player.
On a battle defensively with Alisson's penalty save and James Milner's last-ditch tackle…
At the end it was very, very difficult because they press us a lot but at some point the most important thing now is the three points - we play for that. We won and we go for the next challenge, and we are very happy for that.

On whether he can feel momentum and confidence building...
I think we are in good shape - all the boys, we work really, really hard. We want to bounce back. We want to win football games. I think that's the most important now. Of course the previous game against Man City, the win was very, very important [and an] important step for us. So, we have to keep going to see every game differently because we have to win all the games if we want to achieve our goals.
