Keyrol Figueroa marked his first senior international start for Honduras with a winning goal against Jamaica.
The Liverpool striker scored in the 14th minute of his nation's 1-0 victory in Kingston in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
His debut goal for Honduras helped secure their first ever official success on Jamaican soil and gain three important points in the CONCACAF Nations League.
Reflecting on the result and achievement post-match, Figueroa said: "Look what we did! The first goal! I'm very proud of this opportunity that I was given in the national team.
"I want to thank my mum, my dad, my family, the people who are very close to me, who have supported me since I was a kid. But this is the first one. Thank God. Let's go for more."
Figueroa - who is currently on loan with Port Vale - will next see action with Honduras when they take on Martinique on October 3.
