View our photo gallery from Anfield Sports and Community Centre as Jürgen Klopp and a host of former Reds made a special visit to the home of LFC Foundation on Friday.

Klopp, an honorary ambassador for the club’s official charity, was accompanied by former players Ragnar Klavan, Fabio Aurelio, Yossi Benayoun, Gregory Vignal, Natasha Dowie, Florent Sinama-Pongolle, Louise Schillgard and Mark Gonzalez.

They spent time engaging with participants and learning more about the Foundation’s vital work across the local community and beyond.

The visit offered a unique opportunity to see first-hand the impact of LFC Foundation, which uses the power of the Reds to tackle social inequalities in its communities.

Klopp and the former players met a range of participants, from young primary school children taking part in educational and sports sessions to senior members involved in the Foundation’s popular walking football programme.

Also in attendance were Foundation ambassador Katarina Johnson-Thompson and singer-songwriter Jamie Webster.

It was a memorable afternoon at ASCC for all involved, ahead of Saturday’s LFC Legends clash with Borussia Dortmund Legends at Anfield, which will help raise funds to continue the important work of the charity.

Funds raised will support LFC Foundation’s employability programmes, which help people across the community to find work, gain qualifications and develop new skills through mentoring and training.

The game will also contribute to the Foundation’s long-term strategy and its ambition to support 500,000 people a season by 2030.
