The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is on a season-long loan with the League Two side, though his injury materialised after a spell away on international duty with England U19s earlier this month.He was unable to take part in training with Crawley on his return and further assessment back on Merseyside revealed the groin issue.It is hoped the successful procedure means Balagizi will be able to return to training in around five weeks.Balagizi signed a new contract with the Reds in June and had made an impressive start to his loan spell, scoring three goals and recording one assist.
