Reaction'It's exciting because there's more to come' - Gareth Taylor on WSL victory at Charlton
Gareth Taylor saw Liverpool FC Women's 4-0 victory over Charlton Athletic on Sunday afternoon as 'confidence-building'.
The Reds secured an emphatic win at The Valley in their opening match of the new Barclays Women's Super League season.
A goal from captain Grace Fisk in either half, alongside a debut effort from Vivien Endemann and a late penalty from Cornelia Kapocs clinched three points in the capital.

On the victory and performance...
Yeah, I'm really happy. I think the most important thing for us today, of course, is the result and the three points, but more than that was the confidence-building. We've had a really good pre-season and when you get to the first game you want to transfer the good pre-season onto the first performance.
I thought in the first half we could be better. I thought in the second half we were good and I said that to the girls. The exciting part is that it will only improve and get better and they've got some big returns already and had a great game and dominated, and that's been impressive.
On Endemann's debut goal and assist...
She's been really good. I think she's really attacking in the sense that she takes the ball all the time, she tries things and she's got lots of pace. You hope you'll have that type of debut, but sometimes you don't. I'm very much a bigger-picture kind of thinking person.
We're not bringing Viv here for the now - it's for the player that she will become. We spoke to her at half-time of keeping on having a habit of coming inside. I think there's a lot of space outside and no-one is going to catch her, and as soon as she does it we'll get some good returns from it.
On what the aims and ambitions are this season...
To really move up. I think we don't want to put a limit to what we feel we can achieve by naming something. We want to be up there at the top part of the league, and we know that there's a challenge ahead of us. But we're confident in the work that we do. There were some good performances today, particularly in the second half, and we just keep encouraging the players to improve and get better and they've done that a lot. They really have.
I think coaching from the guys and the technical team has been really good. We were looking good today. We weren't last season at the beginning. It was really tough because we came in late and it's amazing what working with players can actually do. The level of improvement seen has been very impressive. You have to give great credit to the girls for that, because they were really good too. Like I said, it's exciting because there's more to come.
On there being 'belief' in the team and whether his vision is starting to come across...
I think that this time last year we weren't ready, there's no denying that. We were late and we just didn't feel like we were there. The pre-season has been really good, I think that's the bit for the girls, that they've seen that performances have been good against good opposition. We've scored a lot of goals, we've scored about 26 goals in six games, including this one today, so I think that's no mean feat.
For a team last season that wasn't scoring enough - we knew that - we're starting to turn the dial on it and that's all we're doing. It's three points. We'll move on to the next one. We understand that there'll be tougher challenges ahead. But we'll tackle it the same way as we have done today.
On looking dangerous from set-pieces...
We work a lot on it. I think it's a bit of a new thing that we're really focused on a lot more now and you have to give them the necessary time. We do that and we train it properly and we're starting to see the return.
On looking forward to taking on Tottenham Hotspur next...
They've won today and we've won. It'll be nice for us to be back to St Helens in front of our supporters. We really appreciate the travel and support we've had today. It'll be nice to get there and start to build on what we've done today.
