Josh Sonni-Lambie wants to continue a prolific spell in front of goal as Liverpool U19s visit Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Youth League.

After the Reds began this season's tournament with a goalless draw at home to Atletico Madrid, a 2-0 away win over Galatasaray in Istanbul included Sonni-Lambie's first European strike for the club.

Last week, the forward made his maiden start at U21 level in the Vertu Trophy at Crewe Alexandra, before bagging his seventh and eighth goals of the season for the U18s during a 3-2 win at Manchester City.

Sonni-Lambie is now hoping he and the young Reds can maintain their good form against Eintracht in the Youth League on Wednesday.

Kick-off in Germany is 1pm BST and subscribers can watch the game live on All Red Video.

"We are really looking forward to it, we played really well in our last game, it was nice to get a goal and hopefully we can do well again," Sonni-Lambie told Liverpoolfc.com.

"It was a great feeling to get my first goal for the club in Europe, it's always special to travel away with this club.

"The UEFA Youth League is a big competition, it's great to play against different teams and styles that we are not used to. We just want to keep our good run going and give it everything we have got."

Reflecting on his brace at the City Football Academy on Saturday, meanwhile, Sonni-Lambie added: "It was an excellent feeling to go there, score two goals and get the win.

"It has been a very good start to the season, the boys are playing well and we are enjoying our football.

"It was nice to get another win, especially away at Manchester City. It was tough after they came back at us each time to equalise, but to get the final goal and keep the lead gave us a great feeling."
