Twenty Liverpool players have been called up for duty in forthcoming international fixtures.

The UEFA Nations League is at the semi-final stage and Diogo Jota's Portugal and Ibrahima Konate's France are bidding for a place in its showpiece.

Portugal travel to Germany on Wednesday for an 8pm BST kick-off in the last four, while France take on Spain the following day.

The final will be played on Sunday June 8 at Allianz Arena, the home of Bayern Munich. The defeated semi-finalists will compete in a third-place match on that day, too.

Elsewhere, Curtis Jones has been selected for the latest England squad.

Thomas Tuchel's men face Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday June 7 before hosting Senegal in a friendly three days later.

A quartet of Reds – new boy Jeremie Frimpong, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk – will be representing the Netherlands in a pair of World Cup qualifiers. They meet Finland on June 7 and then Malta on Tuesday June 10.

Alisson Becker has been named in Carlo Ancelotti's first Brazil squad. The Selecao face Ecuador and Paraguay in the early hours of Friday June 6 and Wednesday June 11 respectively in CONMEBOL's World Cup qualification process.

Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister will come up against each other on June 11 when Colombia travel to Argentina. Before that, on Friday, Argentina play Chile ahead of Colombia's encounter with Peru.

In the Asian section of qualifying for the 2026 tournament, Wataru Endo and Japan face Australia on Thursday afternoon and Indonesia the following Tuesday.

Lewis Koumas, who has spent the season on loan at Stoke City, will be with Wales for qualifiers against Liechtenstein (Friday) and Belgium (Monday June 9).

Andy Robertson will captain Scotland in friendlies with Iceland (Friday) and Liechtenstein (June 9).

Two friendly matches are on the schedule for Dominik Szoboszlai's Hungary, who play Sweden on Friday and travel to Azerbaijan on June 10.

Denmark (June 7) and Iceland (June 10) are the opponents for Conor Bradley and Northern Ireland in friendlies. Also on those dates, Kostas Tsimikas' Greece take on Slovakia and then Bulgaria.

Caoimhin Kelleher links up with the Republic of Ireland set-up for a home clash with Senegal (Friday) ahead of a trip to Luxembourg (June 10).

Finally, Harvey Elliott, Tyler Morton and Jarell Quansah are part of England U21s' preparation camp for June's European Championship. Lee Carsley's final squad for the tournament will be announced next week.
