Aurélie Csillag and Anna Josendal were scorers as eight Liverpool FC Women players featured in international matches on Friday.

In World Cup qualifying, Csillag was on target with Switzerland’s fourth goal of a 6-1 home victory over Malta.

Jenna Clark registered an assist for Scotland as they defeated Israel 6-0 in Budapest. The centre-back played the whole match and Reds teammate Kirsty Maclean was introduced from the bench in stoppage time.

Ceri Holland and Lily Woodham were both second-half substitutes for Wales as they drew 1-1 away at Montenegro.

Beata Olsson came off the bench after the break for Sweden in their 2-1 defeat by Denmark.

In Cork, Leanne Kiernan was brought on for the final 15 minutes of the Republic of Ireland’s 3-2 win against the Netherlands. A pair of bookings saw her sent off in added time.

Earlier in the day, Josendal supplied an equaliser for Norway’s U23s side in a 1-1 draw with Mexico in a friendly.
