News'He was waiting for me' - Bradley Barcola reveals texts from Hugo Ekitike
Bradley Barcola has revealed how Hugo Ekitike helped to make sure a potential transfer to Liverpool was always on his mind this summer.
The France forward is an international teammate of Ekitike and has also now been reunited with his friend at club level, after completing a move to the Reds from Paris Saint-Germain today.
In his first interview as a Liverpool player, the club’s new No.29 provided details of the regular recent contact he has been in with former PSG colleague Ekitike.
Barcola told Liverpoolfc.com: “I don’t know Jeremy [Jacquet], but I was able to talk to Hugo, who I met in the French team and in my old club.
“He was waiting for me to sign the contract, sending me messages often asking me if I was coming or not.
“I can’t wait to get back together and be able to play with him. I already said [told him] that it is done.”
