Ahead of Liverpool hosting Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday, read a statistical preview of the game at Anfield.

The Reds’ season resumes following the international break as they meet Sean Dyche’s Forest in a 3pm GMT kick-off.

Here is a selection of the best pre-match facts and figures from LFC statistician Ged Rea and Opta…

Arne Slot will take charge of Liverpool for the 50th time in the Premier League. He has won 31 of his opening 49, with nine draws and nine defeats.

Since 1952, the Reds have lost only one of their 15 games played on November 22 – in 1997 they were beaten 1-0 at Anfield by Barnsley.

Liverpool lost this fixture 1-0 last season, the only league game in which they failed to score throughout 2024-25. The Reds have not lost consecutive home league matches against Forest since 1963.

The teams then drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture in the Premier League last season – Forest have not gone three league games without defeat versus the Reds since February 1993.

Forest are one of four sides yet to win away from home in the Premier League this season (also Fulham, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers). They have lost both of their last two away league games without scoring, last losing three in a row without a goal in October 2022.

Forest have lost their last six Premier League away games against the reigning champions by an aggregate score of 24-2. Their last such victory was in December 1994 (2-1 v Manchester United).

The Reds have lost just one of their last 39 Premier League games at Anfield kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday (won 30, drew eight), although that defeat did come against Forest in September last season.

Mohamed Salah is set to make his 300th Premier League appearance for Liverpool. He will be the fifth player to reach that figure for the club, after Jamie Carragher (508), Steven Gerrard (504), Jordan Henderson (360) and Sami Hyypia (318).

Salah’s 276 goal involvements (188 goals, 88 assists) for Liverpool are the joint-most by a player for a single Premier League club (level with Wayne Rooney for Manchester United).

Ryan Gravenberch could make his 100th appearance for the Reds in all competitions.

Alexander Isak has six goals and two assists against Forest in four Premier League appearances. Against no team has he scored more in the competition (also has six versus Tottenham Hotspur).

Dyche was appointed as Forest boss on October 21 and in their five matches since he has overseen two wins, two draws and a defeat.

Forest have scored as many goals in their three Premier League games under Dyche (five) as they had in their first eight of the season under Nuno Espirito Santo (four) and Ange Postecoglou (one) beforehand.

Dyche has only lost more Premier League games against Manchester City (14) and Arsenal (13) than he has versus Liverpool (12).
