On his winning goal in front of the Kop...

At the Kop end! I am very happy, [it's] always special scoring for Liverpool – for the Reds – it's always something unique. To be here again, bringing some kind of joy against Man United, [our] rivals, [I'm] very happy. There's no word, to be honest, to describe the moment because you can't explain why you are there on the pitch. [It's] always something very unique.

On having the chance to play in front of Liverpool fans again...

I miss it! I normally do your job in the media – I got lucky. [I] often come here to Anfield for work [and] while I am here Liverpool [they] always give you some special games. While you're working, you wish one day to get back on the pitch on this grass [and] score an important goal again in front of the Kop. Today it has happened!

On what is has been like to return to Anfield in recent days...

[I feel like] part of the family, to be honest. It's everything new, but only the walls are new – the story and everything; the atmosphere, the smells... it's still the same. This is why it is still very special to have one foot inside the Liverpool family. It's always keeping something special.

On the vital work LFC Foundation does...

We know Liverpool is not only the football side – it's also the city. My daughter is from Liverpool, so I am quite often coming over. We know where all the money we raise is going and [it is] helping the city [and] most of all the people from Liverpool – [so] we quite enjoy this moment and always try to be present for this special time.
