This will be the first league meeting between the two sides since March 2022, when they clashed twice in a week in WSL2. Liverpool won 1-0 away before playing out a goalless draw at home.
The Reds are unbeaten against Charlton in all competitions across the WSL era (won four, drawn two) since 2011, most recently winning 1-0 after extra-time at The Valley in last season's FA Cup quarter-finals.
Charlton will become the 21st different side to play in the WSL.

The Reds are aiming to halt a run without a win in their last seven league matches in London (drawn one, lost six).
Only Crystal Palace (24) won more home points than Charlton (23) in the 2025-26 WSL2, despite the Addicks losing two of their final three at The Valley last term (won one), which was as many defeats as across their 20 home league matches prior (won 12, drawn six).
