Liverpool have made contact with Aberdeen as a move for right-back Calvin Ramsay edges closer.
The ECHO recently reported the Reds were increasingly confident a deal could be completed for the 18-year-old defender and talks between the sides have now begun regarding the structure of a potential transfer.
It is understood Jürgen Klopp's side will be expected to pay a fee in the region of £4million, with dialogue currently taking place over possible add-ons. The above figure would represent the highest sum received for a player by the Scottish Premiership side.
