Review ShowBournemouth 0-2 Liverpool: Analysing the impact of Gravenberch and Jones
Neil Mellor highlighted the contributions of Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones in Liverpool’s 2-0 Premier League win over AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
During his regular post-match Review Show, which is now available to watch on LFCTV GO, the former Reds striker analysed how hard Arne Slot’s side worked to get the three points.
“It felt like a big win,” Mellor said of the result at Vitality Stadium. “We went to Brentford a couple of weeks ago and that was a really important win, but this feels bigger.
“What a season Ryan Gravenberch is having – another top display again! His numbers were incredible during the game and he also ran 10.4km.”
Mellor singled out the impact Jones delivered off the bench as the midfielder provided the assist for Mohamed Salah’s clincher in the second half.
“Curtis was absolutely magnificent for the second goal,” Mellor continued.
“He started the move on the edge of his own box and then sprinted forward to provide the assist, and Salah did what he does – wow, what a finish that was.”
